On Sunday, December 11, there will be a joint ceremony at the South Pacific Peace Park in Yigo. A 93-year old World War II Japanese survivor who was on Guam will be visiting the Peace Park with his family members.
The semi-annual clean-up will begin at 9 a.m.followed at 10 a.m. by a joint ceremony with the Japan Club and GNA. It will begin with prayers. Following prayers they will acknowledge our GNA President and Vice-President.
GNA will present a flower arrangement at the Japanese memorial and the other at the Issei Memorial. GNA will present Mr. Kobayashi, who is 93 years old and a WWII survivor, with an ifit plaque to commemorate this visit to Guam and with a lei. On Monday there will be a visit to the caves near the Marine lab at UOG where he stayed and drew pictures during WWII.
If you are able to come please bring a bottle of water and an umbrella for either the sun or rain.
